The School Day

At Maidstone Grammar School, the core school hours, during which timetabled lessons are taught, are 8.40am to 3.20pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during term time. On Tuesday, the core school hours, during which timetabled lessons are taught, are 8.40am to 2.45pm. This amounts to 32.75 hours per week and 50 periods per fortnight. The school day includes statutory registration, five teaching periods, a morning break, and a lunch break.

These activities can take place before school, at lunchtime, and after school, with finishing times determined by the activity and the season. In addition, there may be other events and activities that take place in the evenings or at the weekends.
